Community is at the heart of everything.

In 2016, Heartland celebrated its 10-year anniversary by launching a nonprofit organization called Give 270. The organization supports community, economic and workforce development by raising funds for other nonprofits and initiatives. To date, nearly $1 million has been raised and directed to worthwhile causes. Give 270 is led by an all-volunteer board and is uniquely positioned to quickly and efficiently translate the philanthropic spirit of individuals and communities into effective fundraising campaigns. Give 270 started weekly Whiskey Wednesdays and other online charitable gaming fundraisers in 2021 that allow participants a chance to win hard-to-find Kentucky Bourbon. Greg Milby joined Heartland in 2018 after over two decades in radio, bringing an abundance of experience in broadcasting and community relations to his new role as Community Storyteller. Milby also brought a new venture: Kentucky’s Heartland. A community blog, Kentucky’s Heartland shares the stories of Central Kentucky in interactive ways through blog posts, videos, live streams, podcasts and more. The engaging content produced by Kentucky’s Heartland is not only leveraged by our clients and Give 270, but the format also serves as a way to tell the stories of our community at-large. Coworking of Elizabethtown (c.o.e) was founded in 2013 as the first co-working space in Hardin County, Kentucky. Located in downtown Elizabethtown, the space occupies the second floor of the Hardin County Chamber of Commerce building, located at 111 West Dixie Avenue. The space was founded by Jack Daniel Taylor with the help of Kenny Rambo and Beth Avey. Heartland was the anchor tenant of the space until 2019, when we moved to our current location at 55 Public Square. Local businesses continue to utilize c.o.e for 24-hour access to amenities such as a conference room, Wifi, desk space, coffee bar and more.
